I am Abbey – a History lover, student, and teacher. I completed my History degree with honours in 2016 at the University of Liverpool, and have since qualified as an ‘Outstanding’ teacher of History with a PGCE from the University of Chester.
As of September 2017, I will be teaching and coaching at a brand new international school in Chester. I will also be continuing my own journey into the world of education as I complete an MA in Educational Practice.
I created this site to share ideas about History that I find fascinating and entertaining, from humour to formal essays. However, I am developing it so that it grows with me in my career. The Historian’s Apprentice will document my journey as I discover, create and share resources and activities for teachers of History, and will act as a platform for my own professional development.
I would love to hear from anyone that is interested in anything I post and has any ideas or comments about anything History or education related.

(I completely understand if you prefer not to do awards on your blog. Still, I felt you deserved the nomination.)
